Glynns Creek League
WHEN: Thursday Evenings

COST: $252
TEE TIMES: Start 5:15 p.m.
LEAGUE START/END: April 29/August 12
LEAGUE SIZE: League is limited to 12 members.
LEAGUE FORMAT: Individual Stroke Play. Handicap will be
established for each golfer during league play.
LEAGUE DESCRIPTION: Each week you are
assigned a designated tee time and foursome. Points are awarded in each
foursome, each week, based on your league handicap and net scores. These
points are accumulated throughout the season to determine the league champions.
There are weekly contests. The season is capped off with a 4-person fun
scramble event. This league plays by the USGA Rules. League is
recommended for intermediate and advanced golfers.
LEAGUE CAPTAINS: Michele Lowry
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a medium length course (5,435 yards)
described as resembling the "great courses of Scotland". Unlike Scotland,
however, there are a number of tree-lined fairways. The greens are
relatively fast with a fair amount of break to read. The original wild
Iowa prairie grass rough has mostly been replaced with thick rough to speed up
the pace of play. This course challenges the intermediate and advanced
golfers.
LEAGUE POLICY: When you sign up for an EWGA League you are required to
pay the league fee, in advance, for the entire season. Once the league has
started no refunds will be given. If you are unable to continue to participate
in a league, you may arrange for another member to replace you for the balance
of the season. You, however, are responsible for negotiating compensation from
the person replacing you on the league. The league captain and EWGA Board will
not be involved.
